September 19: Holiday for Schools, Colleges Unlikely

 - Sakshi Post

Schools, colleges, and other offices received consecutive holidays from Sundays in observance of Milad-un-Nabi and Ganesh Nimajjanam. The second Saturday in September was a holiday. Still, the government cancelled it because of heavy rain and flooding that caused many days of school closures. September 16 was yesterday for Milad-un-Nabi; September 15 is Sunday; and today, September 17, is Ganesh Nimajjanam.

Though everyone waited for the holiday declaration on September 18, the government didn't announce any holiday today. However, schools, colleges, and banks are closed today due to Milad-un-Nabi's postponement from September 16. The heavy traffic and Ganesh Nimajjanam continue even on the 11th day. But as per reports, there is no holiday for schools, colleges and offices.
