Sabitha, Dharmana out. More resignations likely - Sakshi Post

Governor  ECL Narasimhaman  accepted the resignations of Home Minister Sabitha  Indra Reddy and Dharmana Prasada Rao, Minister for Roads and Buildings, as they were facing charges filed by CBI.

CM Kiran Kumar Reddy sent the resignation letters to the Governor on Sunday morning and they were accepted by him immediately.
In the present circumstances, the future of these two ministers hangs in suspense. They both declared that they will continue to be in the Congress party, and face the people but their followers  are putting pressure on them to leave the party which betrayed them.
CM Kiran Kumar Reddy will keep the portfolios of Home, Prisons, Fire fighting services, Welfare of the soldiers, Printing and press, as well as Roads and buildings, until alternative arrangements are made. After the resignation of Mopidevi, there is no minister for Excise dept. The CM is already handling the ministries of Commerce and Electricity. If no changes are made before the Budget session, starting on  June 10, the portfolios will be allotted temporarily to those remaining in the Cabinet
There are three more Ministers facing charges and their future too hangs in balance .As the Congress High Command decided, that those ministers who are facing allegations should go, it seems inevitable that the ministers Geetha Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and  Kanna Lakshmi Narayana will also be asked to resign.
It is believed that the CBI will file another charge sheet on June 7 in which the name of another minister might figure. CM Kiran Kumar Reddy seemed to be thinking of filling up the vacancies caused by the resignations  of these three ministers  with his own candidates who will not oppose him.  A discussion is underway in the political circles whether  minister Partha Sarathy who is facing charges of violating FERA regulations, will be asked to resign. Partha Sarathy is continuing on a stay given by the High Court.
CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is leaving for Delhi to attend an official meeting called by the Prime Minister on May 30. He is going to meet Sonia Gandhi and Ghulam Nabi Azad, as the latter is in charge of the party affairs in. He is also expected to meet Rahul Gandhi  on seeking the resignations of the rest of the ministers who are facing CBI charges. The CM may have the plan of asking for permission, to remove from the cabinet—DL Ravindra Reddy and C Ramachandrayya ,as they have turned out to be his bitter  critics.
The chief minister is aiming to regroup the cabinet with his own candidates once he gets the green signal from the High Command.  He would like the changes to be made before the Assembly Budget sessions starts on June 10.
