After a gap of three months, the state Cabinet will meet on June 7 at 4 pm to mainly to discuss the strategies to be adopted in the wake of the Assembly session beginning from June 10.

The meeting, which would be chaired by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, will be focused mainly on the second phase of assembly budget session as the opposition parties may raise several issued including lifting of belt shops and ex-gratia to the family members of those who died due to heat wave in the summer besides Telangana issue

Dismissal of Minister D l Ravindra Reddy may prominently figure in the cabinet meeting as Kiran’s opponents openly opposed the way the Government sacked him unceremoniously. The cabinet meeting this time attained significance as it was the first one after accepting the resignations of ministers Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sabita Indra Reddy. The fate of two more tainted ministers, who are continuing in the Cabinet, may come up for discussion.

Moreover, the chief minister, who is in Delhi, is likely to return with clearance from the Congress party high command for taking some more into the cabinet. About seven ministerial posts are lying vacant in the cabinet with the recent resignations of two ministers and ouster of another minister. These posts may be filled with new faces that are loyal to Kiran Kumar Reddy. If everything goes as per the expectations of Kiran Kumar Reddy, new ministers will also participate in the first cabinet meeting.
