Upasana Konidela and Family - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: A harmless Tweet from the Telangana Desk at the Davos Summit 2019 by Upasana Kamineni Konidela sent the Telangana political circles into a spin with speculation about her entry into politics.

If you read the Tweet which she posted when she was at the World Economic Forum In Davos, Switzerland:

How do u like my new job ? @KTRTRS garu. Sitting behind the desk at the #Telangana Pavilion @wef helping the fab team with #investintelangana - #3 on the world's best place to live Startup Capital of India #1 in ease of doing business Just got to love #Hyderabad !!!!

To which the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and Working President K T Rama Rao responded with a thumbs up and thanks Tweet: Many thanks Upasana Nice of you to lift the spirits of our team..

Now political circles and some analysts set this against the context of her uncle Chevella MP Konda Visweswar Reddy quitting the TRS just before the Telangana Assembly Elections citing leadership issues. He went ahead and joined the Congress Party and might in all likelihood contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the same constituency.

Putting two plus two, overenthusiastic rumours started surfacing that Upasana Konidela would be pitted against her Uncle ...read Konda Visweswar Reddy by the TRS in Chevella. Konda Visweswar Reddy is Upasana's uncle as he is married to her mother's (Shobhana) sister, Sangita Reddy ( daughters of Apollo Group of Hospitals Chairmen, Dr Prathap C Reddy). Eventually, Upasana had to step in and condemn these baseless rumours. She said that there is no truth in the rumour on her joining politics and also explained that her aunt Sangita Reddy was her boss.

She clarified that she loved her job as the head of the Apollo Charity and her other philanthropic activities and also praised Konda Vishweshwar for his developmental activities in Chevella.
