Hyderabad to Face 40-Hour Water Cut in Several Areas from Feb 11 to 12

Major leakages in the Manjeera Phase-2 drinking water pipeline have disrupted water supply to several parts of Hyderabad, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) confirmed on Monday.

According to officials, the leakages occurred at multiple locations along the Manjeera Phase-2 line, particularly between Patancheru and Hyder Nagar, and from Kalabgur to Patancheru. The pipeline is a key source of drinking water for large areas of the city.

To address the issue, HMWSSB has scheduled repair and maintenance works from 6 am on February 11 to 10 pm on February 12, spanning nearly 40 hours. During this period, several localities will experience low water pressure, while some areas will face a complete disruption of water supply.

The areas likely to be affected include Ramachandrapuram, Ashok Nagar, Jyothi Nagar, Lingampally, Chandanagar, Gangaram, Madinaguda, Miyapur, off-take points, bulk connections, Erragadda, SR Nagar, Ameerpet, KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Bhagyanagar Colony, and Pragathi Nagar.

HMWSSB has urged residents in the affected localities to use water judiciously and make necessary arrangements during the repair period. Officials assured that supply would be restored immediately after the completion of maintenance works.
