4 Bank Holidays This Week: May 26 to May 31

Customers planning to visit bank branches this week are advised to check the latest holiday schedule, as banks across several states will remain closed on different days between May 26 and May 31 due to regional festivals, religious observances, and the weekend schedule.
According to the Reserve Bank of India’s holiday calendar, bank holidays vary from state to state depending on local festivals and special occasions. Apart from regional holidays, banks across the country also remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays, along with Sundays.
Major public and private sector banks, including State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank, will observe these holidays in the respective regions.
May 26: Holiday in Tripura
Banks in Tripura are scheduled to remain closed on Tuesday, May 26, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam.
May 27: Eid al-Adha Holiday in Multiple States
On Wednesday, May 27, banks in several states and union territories will remain closed for Eid al-Adha celebrations.
The holiday will be observed in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Jammu and Kashmir, New Delhi and Tripura.
May 28: Bakrid Closures
Banks in a few more states will remain shut on Thursday, May 28, on account of Bakrid celebrations.
The holiday will apply in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Bihar, Goa and Jammu and Kashmir.
Weekend Banking Schedule
As May 30 falls on the fifth Saturday of the month, banks will remain operational on that day. However, branches across the country will stay closed on Sunday, May 31, as part of the regular weekly holiday.
Despite branch closures, customers will continue to have access to digital banking services, including internet banking, mobile banking, ATMs and UPI-based transactions.
