YSRCP MLA Files Petition For Demolition Of TDP New Party Office In Guntur - Sakshi Post

AMARAVATI : Mangalagiri YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy alleged that the construction of the new Telugu Desam Party office in Atmakur in Guntur district is illegal. The YSRCP MLA approached the High Court and filed a Public Interest litigation (PIL) requesting for demolition of the new TDP officer.

In the PIL, Ramakrishna Reddy clearly mentioned that the TDP government led by Chandrababu Naidu in 2017, has issued a GO allotting 3.65 acres of land under the survey of Vagu Poramboku, No. 392 . The proposed land was given on lease for the next 99 years for the construction of TDP Party office, which is illegal, said the MLA.

The PIL has also included the names of Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, the Chief Commissioner Of Land Administration (CCLA) Secretary, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development (CRDA) Commissioner, the District Collector and the President of the Telugu Desam Party. The court is expected to conduct a hearing over the PIL on Monday.

In his PIL, the MLA added that the Supreme Court had earlier gave a verdict that it was against environmental laws to allocate land which are close to rivers, lakes and ponds to anyone.

Ramakrishna Reddy requested the High Court to reclaim the land and demolish the illegally built party building as the TDP leaders had built it in violation of the various laws of the land.

On the other hand, TDP leaders have opened a new party office in Atmakur at Mangalagiri mandal in Guntur. The TDP Party chief Chandrababu and his son Nara Lokesh participated in the event where Chandrababu hoisted the party flag after performing pooja ceremonies in the office premises.
