Daughter of Dr YSR’s Aide Who Died In Copter Crash Appointed Deputy Collector

The daughter of Dr P Subramanyam, the IAS Officer during the regime of late Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy who passed away in the tragic helicopter accident that killed Dr YSR on September 2, 2009 has been appointed as deputy collector. It may be recalled that Dr Subramanyam accompanied Dr YSR to take part in the rachabandha programme in Chittoor when the copter crashed in the forests of Nallamala near Srisailam.

The Andhra Pradesh government decided to appoint his daughter Sindhu Subramanyam as Deputy Collector on compassionate grounds. Principal Secretary, Revenue Department Dr Manmohan Singh issued orders to this effect on Thursday. Sindhu will have to report to duty within a month of appointment.
