Why Is Rahul Gandhi Silent On Misdeeds Of Ally, Chandrababu?

Rahul Gandhi - Sakshi Post

All India Congress Committee President Rahul Gandhi was sharp in his criticism of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday and described him as corrupt. He accused KCR of towing PM Narendra Modi‘s line saying that the Telangana CM was remote- controlled by Delhi.

While this was not merely a case of an empty accusation but absurd in fundamentals, because every other Congress candidate for the smallest position anywhere in the country, has to run to Delhi to get clearance. These dramas were played out in undivided Andhra Pradesh earlier as they do currently in Telangana when it comes to the Congress party. The last thing Rahul Gandhi should be commenting about is someone being remote-controlled by Delhi.

Rahul Gandhi also spoke of larger issues claiming that Congress was a truly nationalist party which had won freedom for the country. Perhaps he needs a lesson in history to understand how far the party he is referring to, has travelled down the road to where it stands today. Coming to a more important question related to the Telugu states, the Congress president has not spoken a word on the massive scam which is currently gripping AP.

Why is Rahul silent on the data theft case? The new-found ally of the Congress Party, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh are at the centre of this data mining scam. The Congress president flaunts his friendship with Chandrababu Naidu at opposition rallies and public meetings.

What does Rahul have to say about the Andhra Pradesh chief minister’s integrity when it comes to the data theft of residents of Andhra Pradesh whose personal information including bank account details, Aadhaar card number, voter ID, phone numbers, all such data along with colour photos was accessed by a Hyderabad-based company, IT Grids India Pvt Ltd., which developed the TDP’s app, Seva Mitra. Interestingly, so far one has not heard the Congress leader from AP, Raghuveera Reddy express his thoughts on the data breach case. His silence in the matter is as deafening as that of the AICC president.

The progress in the data breach probe being conducted by the Telangana police SIT officials will be revealed soon. Once the election schedule is announced, the AP Congress will rope in Rahul Gandhi for campaigning soon and it remains to be seen as to what kind of a character certificate he would give to his ally, Chandrababu Naidu since he has been handing out such testimonials freely these days. Will he break his silence on the data breach scam? The AICC President's silence on the subject will amount to lending tacit support to Chandrababu Naidu. The obvious question would be, if Rahul Gandhi chooses to ignore the corruption charges swirling around the AP chief minister and keep silent on the massive data theft case does he have the moral standing to hurl allegations at PM Modi or anyone else for that matter?
