Hyderabad: The app of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), 'Seva Mitra' which brought to light the data scam in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is revolving around the company which designed the app, IT Grids India Pvt Ltd.

The Telangana police revealed that the IT Grids Director Ashok Dakavaram has taken many precautions in designing this app. Specifically, it is learned that Ashok had made arrangements by utilizing the 'end to end encryption' process to refrain the investigating agencies from procuring any evidence if the data scam were to ever surface in the future.

Encryption and decryption are the procedures utilized for the data changes made via the app. When someone sends a message to a contact for the first time via WhatsApp, a message pops up showing 'end to end encryption' indicating that the message will be in encryption process until it is sent to the receiver. In the process, the words in the message will become keys. For example, if you type TDP on the 'end 5 online' encryptor website it becomes 'key' (5ec7c4ede4cb6 c64289a5ed105285945) which indicates, it is encrypted. By the time the message is sent to the receiver, the decryption process will be completed and the key transforms into the word 'TDP' again.

IT Grids Corporation used the same method to misuse voters data in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The IT Grids Corporation connected the tabs utilized by the Telugu Desam Party activists and Seva Mitra surveyors to the server in the company. The authorities suspect that encryption, as well as decryption software, has been integrated into the Seva Mitra app in these Tabs. From server to tab, data transfers have been taken into account throughout the encryption process. The 'key' in the app plays a pivotal role in displaying the encrypted data into the decrypted format. There are two types of these 'keys'. The encrypted message with the public 'key' can be changed from the server to simple words. However, the IT Grids Company has encrypted this data with private 'key'. Anyone who can get hold of the server, cannot decrypt the data from companies such as Amazon. These 'encryptions' will change depending on the 'algorithm'. An 'algorithm' designed by a company will not match with anybody else.

Investigating authorities believe that IT grids have taken care of the fact that no evidence is left behind. They made arrangements utilizing the 'end to end encryption' that even if the data breach is discovered, the investigating officials won't be able to collect any evidence from the IT Grids corporation and also Amazon.

With only the 'key' form being secured in the data, the words cannot be recognized. Unless the private 'key' of the data is available, the 'keys' cannot be converted into words and the content cannot be known. The Telangana SIT officials who have identified the issue, are expected to investigate with the help of cyber experts. They believe that if the basic data is summarized, it can then be decrypted.
