Karthi’s Heroine Alleges Sexual Harassment In Kollywood, Backs Sri Reddy

For sometime now after Sri Reddy‘s allegations rocked Tollywood, there has been a buzz in Kollywood that it is also not free from cases of sexual harassment. Actresses like Shruti Haasan is reported to have maintained that Kollywood is a secure centre of films, free of instances of sexual harassment. However, revelations in the name of Suchileaks by actress Suchitra, did create ripples in Kollywood.

By saying that she has a few names up her sleeve Sri Reddy also created a sensation in Kollywood. Now actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has also claimed that charges of sexual harassment in Kollywood are indeed true.

The actress, who made her debut with Meyyade Mane on the small screen, has made it to the silver screen and is a busy star now.

Priya Bhavani Shankar has also starred opposite Karthi in Kadai Kutti Singam. Participating in a program on Friday, the actress observed on the Sri Reddy issue that allegations of sexual harassment in the film industry cannot be ignored. However, she added that sexual harassment was widespread in all fields that while women were subject to sexual harassment, it was up to them to decide if the need to respond to such advances or resist them.
