The industry is slowly recovering from the sudden demise of Kanta Laga's fame, Shefali Jariwala. The actress passed away suddenly due to cardiac arrest at just 42 years of age, and the police probe is on to confirm the reason behind her demise. After the post-mortem procedure was completed, Shefali Jariwala's remains were sent to her home, where she will be cremated later today.

Heart attacks and cardiac arrests have become increasingly common in recent years, with many instances of people dying from these conditions. From what friends and family members were saying, Shefali had no prior health issues, and even the epileptic seizures she used to have earlier in her life had stopped after she started going to the gym and focused on staying fit.

There was a report on her being under anti-aging treatment, but the doctors had confirmed that it had nothing to do with her getting a cardiac arrest, and it was just a cosmetic treatment that will not have any impact on the heart. Shefali hails from a typical family and rose to prominence with the release of the Kaanta Laga song in 2002. The way her father responded when she received Rs. 7000 for the song reveals a lot about her family. Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the director duo, spotted Shefali outside her engineering college.

Since Shefali comes from a family of academicians, they warned her not to do the same and instead told her to focus on her studies. Given the remuneration she received, Shefali made the decision to proceed, driven by her desire to showcase herself on television.

Shefali later talked about how she convinced her parents to do it. Since her father was completely against it, she first took her mother into confidence, and then they together convinced her father. Kaanta Laga turned out to be a super-hit and changed Shefali's life completely.

Shefali Jariwala's Ex-Husband Harmeet Singh

Shefali was the only child in the family. Youtuber Vikas Fhatak, popularly known as Hindustani Bhau, rushed to the hospital to see Shefali, and he emotionally revealed that he always considered her his sister. Their bond was clearly visible in the social media posts she shared, and Shefali was also close friends with Bigg Boss mate, the late Siddharth Shukla.

Before marrying her current husband, Parag Tyagi, Shefali was married to Harmeet Singh, known for his work with the Meet Brothers, for a period of five years. Harmeet, also known as Harry, became quite famous with his stint in multiple television serials.

He became famous as part of the musical duo Meet Bros, alongside his brother Manmeet. Shefali and Harmeet divorced in 2009, following their 2004 marriage. Post-divorce, Shefali made serious allegations against Harmeet and also launched an FIR against him in Mumbai. She also said that he withdrew Rs.12 lakh from their joint account without informing her.
