Telangana Police To Literally Crack The Whip On Agitators, Protestors: Check New Rules

Telangana: Police will respond with batons to those who make a fuss in the name of agitation. However, on women and farmers, they will exercise restraint. To this extent, orders have gone from the DGP’s office to the SPs of all the districts.

Protests by political parties have increased in Telangana recently. Leaders of opposition parties are raising agitations in front of the houses of public representatives. The Telangana police took a key decision in this regard to control the agitations.

It was decided to suspend the friendly policing policy for a few days. They have decided to put aside the friendly policing that has been going on for six years. Now, they will resort to using sticks to curb any violence.

Those who make a fuss in the name of agitations will be answered with sticks. However, on women and farmers, they will exercise restraint. In this regard, orders have been passed from the DGP’s office to the SPs of all the districts.

Police have taken the attack on BJP activist Challa Dharmareddy's house by BJP activists seriously. It was due to this situation that it was decided to put a stop to such agitations.

On January 31, the house of MLA Challa Dharmareddy in Warangal was attacked. BJP activists attacked his house for making controversial remarks on donations collected for the construction of the Ram Mandir.

BJP activists also attacked a TRS MLA's house with eggs and tomatoes in retaliation. The furniture in the house was destroyed. The protesters smashed the windows of the house. A war of words is raging between the two parties after the incident.

TRS leaders also attacked the BJP office in retaliation for the attack on the MLA's house. Police have registered a case against a total of 53 people in connection with the attack on the MLA's house. Warangal Urban District President Rao Padmareddy, Rural District President Kondetti Sridhar, and 44 others appeared before the magistrate. They were remanded till February 15 by the Warangal Sixth Additional Municipal Magistrate.

The BJP was collecting donations wearing a scarf as a disguise. Hence, the minister commented on, how much has been collected in Telangana to date and how much was collected in the rest of the states. He stressed and demanded that all collections must be accounted for and after that only new collections should be made. It was due to this situation that BJP activists raided his house.
