Bank Holiday Alert: Are Banks Closed on February 14 & 15? Check Full RBI Holiday List

Public and private sector banks across India will remain closed for two consecutive days on February 14 and February 15, 2026, due to the second Saturday bank holiday followed by the weekly Sunday holiday. Customers planning to visit bank branches are advised to check the RBI bank holiday calendar for February 2026 to avoid inconvenience during this long weekend.
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), February 14 (Saturday) is a designated second Saturday holiday, while February 15 (Sunday) is a regular weekly closure. These holidays apply to all scheduled banks, including public sector banks, private banks, regional rural banks, and major lenders such as the State Bank of India (SBI).
As per RBI guidelines, banks across the country remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, along with all Sundays. However, branches function normally on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays, unless a state-specific holiday is notified.
