Sathya Sai District: YSRCP MLC Mohd Iqbal Condemns Murder Of Hindupur Leader Ramakrishna Reddy

Sathya Sai District:  YSR Congress Party (YSRCP)  MLC Shaik Mohammed Iqbal condemned the brutal murder of former coordinator for the Hindupur Assembly constituency, Chowluru Ramakrishna Reddy who was done to death on Friday night. He said that Ramakrishna had done yeomen services for the YSRCP since its inception and no one could fill his place. Ramakrishna Reddy (46) was attacked by unidentified persons at his native village- Chowluru, near Hindupur town in Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh.

As soon as he came to know about the murder, the YSRCP MLC spoke to State DGP Rajendranath Reddy and District SP Rahul Dev Singh on the phone about the crime and demanded a thorough investigation into the murder and award strict punishment to the culprits. He said that there was no culture of faction killings in the Hindupur constituency and asked  the police to take any necessary action against those responsible for this incident

As per police reports Ramakrishna Reddy who had finished work at the Dhaba which he was running near the Andhra –Karnataka border left the place at 9 pm in the night and reached his home by car. Four to five assailants who were allegedly wearing masks and waiting there, threw chili powder into his eyes as he was getting down from his car. They attacked him with sickles and hacked him to death and fled from there. Neighbours who heard him screaming rushed him to  Hindupur Government Hospital, but he was declared dead.

Ramakrishna Reddy is survived by his wife and a 10-year-old son who are currently staying in Bengaluru. They have been informed about his death. Ramakrishna Reddy’s family registered a complaint and the police are investigating the incident. Police are collecting details from his mother, relatives, and villagers. Local YSRCP leaders and activists strongly condemned the killing of Ramakrishna Reddy.
