Heavy Police Restrictions During YS Jagan’s Tour in Cyclone-Hit Areas

AP Former CM and YSRCP Supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is visiting regions hit by the cyclone. Farmers and women are giving him a grand welcome along the route.

The Former Chief Minister is touring Penamaluru, Pedana, Pamarru, and Machilipatnam constituencies. He will inspect crop fields damaged by Cyclone Monga and interact with the affected farmers to understand their problems and fight for them against the ruling coalition government.

Police have set up check posts and are diverting vehicles heading towards CM YS Jagan’s convoy route. Only the Chief Minister’s convoy is being allowed to pass, while other vehicles are being stopped and redirected.

YS Jagan has arrived at Nippalli Center, where farmers and women gave him a warm welcome. Locals lined the roads to greet him enthusiastically.

Women farmers met YS Jagan and showed him their damaged banana and paddy crops due to Cyclone Monga. Farmers also submitted written appeals describing their losses.

Women farmers once again met YS Jagan, showing him the extent of crop damage and requesting government help for recovery.

Police have imposed heavy restrictions. Barricades have been set up to prevent vehicles from heading toward Machilipatnam. Drone cameras are being used to monitor the area.
Farmers and party workers trying to reach YS Jagan at Tadigadapa were stopped; police even seized bike keys to restrict movement.

Minister Perni Nani criticized the restrictions, saying, “No matter how many barriers are imposed, people cannot be kept away from YS Jagan. The coalition government has completely ignored farmers. Where is the Agriculture Minister?”

YS Jagan reached Penamaluru, greeted by a massive youth bike rally. Police were seen blocking bikers trying to join the convoy, leading to tense moments.

🔹 12:30 PM | Pamarru – Balliparru Area
Large crowds of farmers and YSRCP supporters gathered in Balliparru to meet the Chief Minister. Police tried to control the crowd and prevent movement, leading to arguments between local CI Pamidimukkala and YSRCP leader Kaile Anil Kumar.

🔹 1:00 PM | Vijayawada West
YS Jagan reached Vijayawada West, where women welcomed him with traditional rituals, breaking pumpkins to ward off evil and showering flowers on his convoy.

CM YS Jagan is touring cyclone-affected regions in Krishna district, including Penamaluru, Pedana, Pamarru, and Machilipatnam constituencies. He is inspecting fields damaged by Cyclone Monga and meeting affected farmers.
However, police have imposed strict restrictions, allowing only 500 people and 10 vehicles in the convoy. Even local YSRCP leaders and former MLAs have received notices warning them not to join the tour.
