PALNADU: Telugu Desam Party leaders in a heinous attack against the YSR Congress Party cadre, rammed a car into them on Friday night. As per reports in Sakshi, the incident took place at Kanaparru village in Nadendla Mandal, Palandu district of Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP leaders were carrying out unprovoked attacks on the YSRCP leaders in the region for quite some time.  On the occasion of Dr. YSR's death anniversary, the local YSRCP leaders arranged for distributing food to the people. The local TDP leaders who were in an inebriated condition started abusing them. When the Sarpanch intervened and told them not to disturb the event, things went out of hand and four local TDP leaders went on a rampage and attacked them with sticks. Not stopping there, they took out a car and rammed into them injuring several members and also the Sarpanch named Venkateswarulu.

Police were called in to dispel the crowds and shifted the injured to a local government hospital. A case has been registered and police are investigating the cause of the attack.
