CM YS Jagan’s Social Justice in Candidates Selection Rattles Naidu

Social justice has been the cornerstone of the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government in Andhra Pradesh right from the day the YSR Congress party came to power in the state. The YSRCP government has ensured that the benefits of its welfare programmes reach every eligible individual and nobody was discriminated against. The beneficiaries of welfare programmes also include the people who openly support the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP). 

The marginalised and economically weaker sections of the society were given priority in the welfare programme of the YSRCP government. Extending its social justice agenda, the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has ensured social equality and proper representation when he picked the new coordinators in the assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies for the ensuing elections. He’s considered winnability and social justice while selecting the party candidates.

The opposition parties seem to be bewildered by the election strategy of CM YS Jagan. Even the TDP-friendly media appear to be in a state of shock as they thought the upcoming polls would be a walk in the park for TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. With the release of the fourth list, the YSRCP has so far appointed  parliament and assembly constituency coordinators for 58 assembly and 10 Lok Sabha constituencies across Andhra Pradesh. 

Among these 58 assembly coordinators - 21 are from the Scheduled Castes (SC), 3 from Scheduled Tribes (ST), 17 from Backward Castes  (BC), 4 from minority communities and 13 from upper castes. Similarly, the 10 Lok Sabha coordinators include 6 from Backward Castes, 2 from Scheduled Castes, 1 from Scheduled Tribes and 1 from the upper castes. 

Unlike Naidu who gives party tickets to only those who come with their suitcases filled with crores of rupees, chief minister YS Jagan has walked the talk by giving proportionate representation to every community. He has always maintained that BC Community is not Backward Classes but the backbone class of the society. CM YS Jagan has set an example while selecting party coordinators for the ensuing elections and this will surely be going to hit Naidu, who has ignored the social justice system for money and greed.
