AP Cabinet Makes Key Decisions: To Fill Teacher Posts and Forest Department Positions

Amaravati, Jan 31: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, presided over by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, made several key decisions during its meeting held at the Secretariat on Wednesday. The cabinet meeting commenced at 11 am in the first block of the Secretariat. The cabinet took several key decisions. Below are the few important decisions taken by the AP Cabinet.

AP Cabinet Decisions

  1. AP state cabinet approves DSC to fill 6,100 teachers posts
  2. Nod to fill 689 posts in the forest department
  3. Rs 5,000 crore allocated for the welfare of BC, SC, ST & Minority women
  4. Nod to release funds under the fourth tranche of YSR Cheyutha on Feb 16
  5. Green flag to proposals made by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) to investments worth Rs 22,302 crore in the power sector
  6. Cabinet extends the retirement age of non-teaching staff in government universities from 60 to 62 years
  7. AP cabinet makes it mandatory for all gram panchayats to have an appointed. 
  8. Cabinet approval was granted for the inclusion of IB in the SERT.
  9. In Universities and Higher Education Institutions, the retirement age of non-teaching staff has been increased from 60 to 62.
  10. Cabinet approval is required for energy projects approved by SIPB.
  11. Approval has been granted for two wind power projects in Nandyala and Kurnool districts.
  12. Cabinet approval has been obtained for setting up 600 MW wind power projects in Sri Satyasai and Anantapur districts.
  13. Cabinet approval is necessary to create the post of Registrar to RJUKT. It approved to make the necessary amendment to the law.
