KTR Goes Gaga over Hyderabad Best City Tag

Hyderabad, the city of pearls has been ranked in the top position as best Indian city to live for the fourth consecutive year in the latest report released by the Mercer Quality of Living Rating 2018.
The city along with Pune ranked at the 142nd position among seven other Indian cities like Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. The low crime rate and pleasant climate has helped the city bag the rank as the best place to live. The Telangana IT minister expressed his happiness over the report on his twitter handle.

On the other hand, the country capital Delhi, which has the highest crime rate ranked below in the list. Delhi stood at the bottom for the third consecutive year for poor air quality and heavy traffic.
Meanwhile, all the cities have ranked better in communication and access to food.
In the global cities, Vienna stood first in the list for the ninth consecutive year among 450 cities. Vienna was followed by Zurich, which stood second in the list while Auckland and Munich settled in the third position.
"The city living standards are based on the communication facilities, public transport, quality of air and airports. However, most of the cities in India have decreased their ranking over a period of 20 years," said Padma Ramanathan, India Practice leader, Global Mobility, Mercer. The latest report released by the survey marks our 20th anniversary of global survey, he added.
