Former Speaker’s son caught speeding, fined by Police

Hyderabad: The city police seem to be fighting an uphill task in curbing rash driving in the city. Children from rich families, with high-end vehicles, seem to make up the general description of the profiles of those who are being stopped by the police for speeding on city roads.
In the latest incident that was reported by the police, Amit Reddy, son of the former Speaker Suresh Reddy was caught speeding by the police on Saturday night near the KBR Park in Banjara Hills. He was reportedly speeding above 100 kmph in his Jaguar car while traveling from KBR Park to Jubilee Hills checkpost. It is believed that Amit was doing this to win a bet against his friends.
The police have fined Amit Rs. 1000 under the Motor Vehicles Act, revealed the police.
They had also ceased 10 two-wheelers and six cars, and had summoned the drivers for counseling sessions on Saturday.
