Truck Crashes Into Stationary Tractor In Vizianagaram; Two Farmers Killed

A speeding truck rammed into a stationary tractor resulting in the death of two farmers - Sakshi Post

Ramabhadrapuram: In a tragic accident, two farmers lost their lives after a speeding truck crashed into their tractor on Saturday.

The incident occurred at Busaaya Valasa village of Ramabhadrapuram Mandal in Vizianagaram district. As per the details, the two farmers were identified as R Durgarao of Ramabhadrapuram village and T Laksham Naidu of Chintalavalasa village. The two farmers had parked their tractor along the roadside and were interacting with locals in the village.

During the time, a speeding truck heading from Odisha towards Vizianagaram crashed into their stationary tractor, dragging the vehicle forward for a distance.

Both the farmers sustained severe injuries and succumbed to death on the spot. Locals nearby chased the truck to nab the driver, who managed to abscond after abandoning the vehicle after traveling a short distance. The police, who were alerted of the incident reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered against the truck driver and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
