Andhra Pradesh Know Your Minister: Balineni Srinivasa Reddy

Vijayawada: YSRCP MLA from Ongole, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, who got elected to the State Assembly for the fifth time has found a ministerial berth in the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's cabinet. He was sworn-in as the Minister by Governor ESL Narasimhan in the presence of around 5,000 people at the Secretariat Ground in Velagapudi on Saturday.

He has been allocated the Energy, Forest, Environment, Science & Technology portfolio.

Balineni Srinivasa Reddy registered a win over Damacharla Janardhan Rao of the TDP by by a margin of 22,245 votes in Ongole constituency.

The YSRCP leader, who has served as a minister in late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy's cabinet, has got a chance to do it again in YS Jagan's cabinet. The former Minister had won from the Ongole constituency four times on Congress tickets.

A relative of YSR, Srinivasa Reddy had served as Mines Minister in the united Andhra Pradesh. He also held the Ministry post for Handlooms & Textiles, Spinning Mills, Small Scale Industries.
