TDP Workers Attack YSRCP Activists Across The State - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Several YSR Congress Party Workers (YSRCP) were injured some seriously in clashes today.

Clashes broke out the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and workers of YSRCP at various places in Andhra Pradesh even as technical glitches in Electronic Voting Machines hampered the poll process at numerous polling booths as voting got underway for 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly seats.

-A mandal parishad member of YSRC was seriously injured when TDP workers allegedly attacked him at a polling station in Eluru city.

-In Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district, tension prevailed in Ponnathota village as TDP workers indulged in stone-throwing.

-In Narsaraopet constituency in Guntur district, YSRCP leaders alleged TDP men ransacked a polling station in Yelamanda village and damaged the furniture.

-Police personnel were also preventing YSRC sympathisers from entering into the polling booth, they alleged.

- A Dachepalli mandal TDP polling agents attacked YSRCP agents and severely injured one YSRCP member in Booth no 100.They destroyed furniture because the polling official objected to their atrocities.

- Minor trouble was also reported at a few other constituencies in Guntur, Prakasam and Anantapuramu districts as well .

- In Narsaraopeta, a YSRCP Candidate Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy was attacked and injured in Yellamanda.They attacked his car and broke the windows injuring him in the attack. A complaint was also filed with Election Commission by the YSRCP candidate.

-Clashes were reported at Veerapuram village under Tadipatri Assembly constituency in the afternoon.

- There were also reports that followers of Anantapur TDP MP and MLA, the JC brothers (MP J C Diwakar Reddy and MLA, J C Prabhakar Reddy), tried to rig votes in a polling booth at Veerapuram.

- In East Godavari district, a woman was attacked by a police officer in Nandampudi at Ambajipeta Mandal. The police official kicked and beat up the woman who just 200mts from the polling booth because she supported the YSRCP.

-In Paritala Sunitha's constituency of Rapthadu the Paritala aides were seen threatening YSRCP sympathisers .

-In Sanapa TDP activists destroyed EVM machines.

- In Siddharamapuram they attacked YSRCP sympathisers and pelted stones at them. Five of the YSRCP workers were injured in the attack.

-In Jammalamadugu the TDP also created a ruckus and to contain them additional police forces were called for the YSRCP leaders to contain the situation.

-In YSR Colony at Jakkampudi, TDP leaders attacked YSRCP sympathisers as they obstructed to them distributing money to the voters. Several YSRCP members were seriously injured in the attack.

-Same was the case in Ahobilam area in Kurnool district, where a YSRCP leader's gunmen was injured.

- In Dendaluru, MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar's aides were seen distributing thousand rupees along with the voting slips in Duggirala village sitting in a auto.
