YS Jagan Offers Prayers At Kadapa Ameen Pir Dargah

Kadapa: Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy offered prayers at the Kadapa Ameen Pir Dargah on Friday afternoon.YS Jagan reached Kadapa town this afternoon to offer prayers at the Dargah. The YSRCP chief offered a chaadar at the shrine, as per tradition. YS Jagan stood in silence praying as special prayers were offered, and bowed his head in reverence.

People turned up in thousands all along, slowing down the movement of the YSRCP chief's convoy. YS Jagan reached the Dargah at about 4.40 pm on Friday even as thousands of party workers, supporters, followers and common citizens thronged the place, many of them gathering at JMJ college here. Special prayers were offered for the success of the YSR Congress party and the welfare of the people of Andhra Pradesh.

The entire Ameen Pir Dargah area was filled with a sea of humanity. It may be recalled that YS Jagan had visited this Dargah before he commenced his mass contact initiative, Praja Sankalpa Yatra, along with the Tirumala Venkateswara shrine and the CSI church here. He had prayed for the success of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra and had vowed to visit all three shrines on successful completion of the mass contact programme. After praying at Tirumala Venkateswara shrine on Thursday, and the Ameen Pir Dargah on Friday, YS Jagan is scheduled to offer prayers at the CSI church on Saturday.

Ameen Pir Dargah is a celebrated Muslim shrine which attracts devotees from various parts of the world. AR Rehman, the distinguished composer, is among the celebrities who visit the shrine regularly.
