YSRCP Stands By Distressed Farmers On Kisan Diwas

YSRCP farmers wing president MVS Nagi Reddy - Sakshi Post

YSR Congress party (YSRCP) farmers wing president MVS Nagi Reddy greeted the farmer community on the occasion of Kisan Diwas or National Farmer's Day today. In a press release, the YSRCP leader recalled that the Farmer's Day is celebrated on December 23 to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Charan Singh, who hailed from the farmer community.

"During the rule of late Chief Minister Dr Rajasekhara Reddy, the farmer community in Andhra Pradesh grew by leaps and bounds with ample rainfall and suitable weather conditions. The farmers were given MSP for every crop," he said. In the last four years, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is destroyer of environment. The State has been suffering from droughts and floods in the recent times, affecting lakhs of farmers and incurring crores of rupees of loss. The farmer community is reeling under losses, thanks to a 20 per cent reduction in MSPs.

By the time the next agricultural season commences on 1 June, 2019, a new, farmer-friendly and nature-loving government would be in place. With an effort to replicate the conditions of Rajanna Rajyam, we would celebrate Farmer's day next year with happy vibes.
