YSRCP slams TDP on Pattiseema - Sakshi Post

Slamming the hyperbolic and tall claims of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the Pattiseema project, YSR Congress has demanded a white paper on the amount spent on the Polavaram project so far.

“The TDP government’s claims of irrigating 2 crore acres of land and providing 1000 TMC of water from Pattiseema are greatest exaggerations of all times. The TDP Government should specifically explain  the water would be stored,” said party leaders K Parthasaradhi and Kothapalli Subbarayudu on Friday.

Chandrababu Naidu is known for tall claims and diversionary tactics, they said and added these were nothing but attempts aimed at diverting attention from the failures and inadequacies of the government.

“How can anyone irrigate 2 lakh crore acres, when the maximux area of cultivation in AP is just 69 lakh acres? This massive discrepancy shows that Chandrababu Naidu either has no grasp of the irrigation issues or that he just wants to mislead the people deliberately.

The YSRCP leaders pointed out that Pattiseema project was never mentioned during the electioneering.  The TDP has not fulfilled what it said it would do, but has gone ahead with Pattiseema as there are kickbacks to a tune Rs 500 crores up for grabs. Schemes like Neeru Chettu and de-silting are aimed at fattening the purses of the TDP cadres, they alleged.

The just demands of RTC workers should be agreed to and our party is with the employees who are on strike, they said.
