Venkaiah says doing his best for Telugu states

New Delhi: The Union Government was considering the issue of according special status to Andhra Pradesh, said Union Minister and senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu.

Responding to a protest by the members of the Students JAC at his residence, he said he has been coordinating between various government bodies and has been trying to get several projects to the Telugu states. 

He said he did his best to get high calibre educational institutions to Andhra Pradesh as per the provisions of the Bifurcation Law. He blamed both the T and the AP Government for playing cheap politics on the Polavaram project. He also made it clear that there is no proposal for recognition of AP as special state  before the 14 finance commission
