No Respite For Telangana, Heatwave Warning Issued

Hyderabad: The scorching heat conditions in Telangana have already witnessed the the mercury levels crossing 46 degree Celsius at many places in the state. Even with the ongoing thunderstorm spell, the state will have no respite as the heatwave conditions are likely to resume in several districts from Wednesday.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad has informed that the state will witness an increase in the maximum temperatures starting from Wednesday. The IMD has even issued a heatwave warning from May 15 to 18 due to the temperature from the northwest climates rising in the month of May. The heat conditions are likely to prevail until the first week of June.

Telangana is within the core heat wave zone. The zone which starts from Rajasthan spreads through Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh. The maximum temperatures in these regions are expected to be high.
