KCR Lays Foundation Stone For New Telangana Assembly Building At Irrum Manzil - Sakshi Post

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today performed Bhoomi Pooja for the foundation stone ceremony of the new secretariat building in the D block of the Secretariat complex in Hyderabad. Several ministers, MLAs, MPs and ZP chairpersons attended the ceremony.

The new secretariat building is to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 400 crores. Later the chief minister went to Irrum Manzil complex where he laid the foundation stone for the new Assembly building to be located in the vacant area between the R&D office and Irrum Manzil palace built by the former Prime Minister of erstwhile Hyderabad state Nawab Fakhr-ul-mulk. It had been reported earlier that the historic Irrum Manzil palace would be razed to make way for the new Assembly building.
