Telangana BJP Celebrates Vajpayee Birth Anniversary

Hyderabad: Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) paid tributes to former PM Atal Behari Vajpayee on the occasion of his 94th birth anniversary. BJP State president Dr Lakshman, former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, National General Secretary Muralidhar Rao, former MLA Kishan Reddy and other leaders attended the program here at the party State office today.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Lakshman recalled the services of Vajpayee to the nation. His services are an inspiration to the future generations, he added.

"Two weeks after the Telangana election results are out, the swearing-in of the newly elected MLAs is yet to take place. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government at the Centre is working to alleviate the socio-economic status of the vulnerable sections," he said.

Senior leader Dattatreya said PM Modi was governing the country in the lines of Vajpayee's aspirations. Vajpayee brought about a special recognition to India at the global stage, he added.
