Congress Condemns MLCs’ Defection, KCR To Meet PM Modi

Hyderabad: Former MP Vijayashanti expressed concerns over danger to the democratic spirit of the country in the context of the merger of Congress MLCs into the TRS. Inspired by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's (KCR) undemocratic practices, certain miscreants are attacking private hospitals across the State, she accused.
Meanwhile, KCR, who has reached New Delhi on Monday night, will call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time after the TRS re-election in the State. As per official sources, KCR will meet the PM at his official residence at around 4 pm today.
Also, KCR has sought appointments of former UP Chief Ministers Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati and the Central Election Commissioner. On Monday, KCR met West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee before calling on Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik as part of his deliberations for shaping a Federal Front of regional parties.
