Uttam Reviews Arrangements For Rahul Gandhi Telangana Visit

TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy today reviewed the arrangements for Congress president Rahul Gandhis visit to Hyderabad on August 13 and 14.

He held a meeting with senior leaders and later inspected the places where Gandhi is likely to address meetings.

A specially-designed bus likely to be used by Gandhi was also inspected, a party release said.

Gandhi would be accorded a grand reception at the Rajiv Gandhi International airport here on August 13, it said.

He will be taken in a massive rally of over 5,000 bikes to the venue, where the Congress president would interact with members of women Self Help Groups, Congress sources said.

Nearly 10,000 women are expected to participate in the programme.

Gandhi is also likely to hold an interactive meeting with intellectuals of the Muslim community.

He is expected to dwell on issues like alleged failure of the TRS government in realising the promise of 12 per cent reservation for Muslims and the alleged rise in attacks on minorities under BJP rule, the sources said.

The Congress president is also expected to have an interactive session with the business community, they said.

The final schedule of Gandhis visit would, however, be announced in a day or two, the release said. (PTI)
