TDP jolted: Four MLAs cross over to TRS, more likely to follow - Sakshi Post

* Resignations come a day ahead of TDP's bus yatra

Hyderabad: TRS' Operation Akarsh yielded the richest dividend till date when almost all TDP MLAs from Hyderabad city have left their parent party, the TDP. Thus, ahead of the crucial GHMC and corporation elections, the TDP has received a major setback.
The MLAs who left the TDP were Talasani Srinivas Yadav (Sanatnagar), Teegala Krishna Reddy (Maheshwaram), Prakash Goud (Rajendra Nagar), Dharma Reddy (Parkal).
This is a major blow for the already beleaguered TDP, which is suffering a major erosion of base in Telangana. There were reports of likely desertions from the TDP for quite sometime. But, the MLAs waited for the Dasara festivities to be over. The crossovers came a day ahead of the TDP's proposed Bus Yatra against TRS 'misrule.'
The TDP stalwarts went to the CM's camp office and formally joined the party. Speaking on the occasion, Talasani came down heavily against Chandrababu and said foisting Lokesh as the party leader was an insult to them.
The arrival of these MLAs is likely to strengthen the TRS in Hyderabad city, which had always been its Achilles' Heel. Ahead of GHMC elections, this is a major boost for the TRS, which already has two MLAs.
It is learnt that MLC Gangadhar Goud also met TRS chief and is all set to join.
