CM Ramesh Can Find A Place In Guinness Book: BJP

Amaravati: BJP MLA Penmetsa Vishnu Kumar Raju took a dig at TDP Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh saying the ruling party parliamentarian's fast could find its way into the Guinness Book of World Records. Raju remarked that a diabetic would find it difficult to fast for even two days, whereas CM Ramesh, who had a history of diabetes could fast for 11 days. Moreover, he did not shed any weight. Significantly, his health parameters did not get affected by his 11 days of fasting, the BJP leader pointed out.

Vishnu Kumar Raju advised the TDP and its leaders to focus on governance and people's welfare. He asked the ruling party to stop staging such dramas. Raju added for good measure that people would lose faith in politicians and their sincerity of purpose if they resort to such fake fasts.

It may be recalled that CM Ramesh had undertaken a fast stating that he was doing for getting a steel plant set up at Kadapa. However, the opposition parties including the YSRCP and BJP accused him of enacting a drama in view of the fact that he was a diabetic.
