Even as the Globetrotter event delivers massive revelations - the title Varanasi, Mahesh Babu’s fierce first look as Rudra, and Rajamouli’s breathtaking world-building, a large section of fans is furious. The reason has nothing to do with the film, but with JioHotstar, the official streaming partner for the event.

Despite being officially announced as the platform to stream the Globetrotter showcase live, JioHotstar had not begun the livestream even as major announcements were already leaking online. While fans at Ramoji Film City shared visuals of the title reveal and Mahesh Babu’s intense Rudra glimpse, those tuning in from home were left staring at a stream that refused to start.

This delay has led to a wave of frustration across social media, with “Why is Hotstar not streaming?”, “Fix the stream”, and “We are missing everything” trending among Mahesh Babu fans. Many pointed out that with such a massive, globally followed event, the responsibility of the streaming partner becomes even more crucial. Others questioned whether the stream would begin at all or if viewers would be forced to rely entirely on fan-captured leaks.

For an event of this scale, featuring Rajamouli’s first major reveal after RRR and Mahesh Babu’s most intense avatar ever, fans expected a flawless experience. Instead, the contrast between the electrifying atmosphere at the venue and the confusion online has only deepened their anger.

While the team continues with the on-ground event, JioHotstar is yet to issue clarity on the delay. For now, fans are hoping the official stream still goes live, before the entire event unfolds without them.
