Malkajgiri MP and firebrand leader A Revanth Reddy was appointed as the new president of Telangana Congress Committee. Many senior leaders turned against the decision of High Command and some others remained silent. AICC leadership believed that Revanth Reddy has that power to match up to the KCR.

According to the reports, Bhatti Vikramarka was called by the High Command and it is going to pacify the sulking leader. A day after the appointment of Revanth Reddy, Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy expressed unhappiness over AICC's leadership. Marri Sasidhar Reddy, Congress party senior leader and son of former chief minister Marri Chenna Reddy quit the party.

Who is going to sail with Revanth Reddy is the most sought after question amongst the political circles? Revanth Reddy is going to take charge as AICC today. It is a big challenge for Revanth to bring all the dissident leaders on board.

Uttam Kumar Reddy resigned from the post of President of TPCC after the results of GHMC poll. After many rounds of discussion, the High Command decided to finalise Revanth Reddy as the TPCC chief. The change of guard took place at a time when Congress is facing a lot of problems in the state.
