Sankranthi Traffic Diversions Enforced on NH-65 as Vehicles Return from Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad

 - Sakshi Post

Authorities have put in place extensive traffic management measures to handle the post-Sankranthi rush as vehicles return from Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad. Due to ongoing widening works on National Highway-65, traffic restrictions have been imposed, prompting diversions to ease congestion.

With heavy traffic expected at major toll plazas such as Chityal, Peddakaparthi, Korlapahad and Panthangi, the police have advised motorists to follow alternate routes. Vehicles travelling from Guntur to Hyderabad are being diverted via Guntur–Miryalaguda–Haliya–Chintapalli–Mal, while another route has been arranged through Macherla–Sagar–Peddavura–Chintapalli–Mal.

Heavy vehicles coming from Vijayawada are being redirected towards Hyderabad through Kodad–Mal. In case of traffic congestion on NH-65, additional diversions will be enforced from Chityal via Bhongir.
To maintain smooth vehicular movement and respond quickly to bottlenecks, traffic conditions are being closely monitored using drone surveillance and CCTV cameras, officials said.
