COVID-19: Hyderabad Techie Tests Positive For Coronavirus

HYDERABAD: A techie who traveled to Hyderabad from Andhra Pradesh was tested positive for coronavirus. He was working with a Swiss-based Pharmaceutical company in Hi-tech city, Hyderabad. He hails from East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh and has been residing at Manikonda from the last few years. The techie was shifted to the isolation ward at Gandhi hospital. His wife, daughter, domestic help, and few others have been shifted to the quarantine facility.

The health authorities have asked the people who have come in contact with the techie to go for self-quarantine. Reports say that the family had travelled to Andhra Pradesh to attend the final rites of his uncle, last week. The man developed COVID-19 like symptoms and he approached a private hospital. His samples have been collected and sent to Gandhi hospital. His reports came as positive. 

The government of Telangana has eased the lockdown relaxations and the number of coronavirus cases are increasing with each passing day. Earlier, the infections have been restricted to Charminar, Malakpet, and LB Nagar but now spreading to various other parts like Secunderabad and Khairatabad. The total number of coronavirus positive cases in Telangana stands at 1,854 and 53 people have died due to COVID-19.
