After Gandhi Hyderabad, Telangana CM KCR To Visit Warangal MGM Hospital

CM KCR To Inspect Warangal MGM Hospital And Central Jail On Saturday - Sakshi Post

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is slated to visit MGM Government Hospital in Warangal on Saturday afternoon at around 2 PM. KCR will arrive at Warangal by helicopter and will first visit the Hanumakonda Central jail. After lunch, at the TRS MP V Lakshmikantha Rao's house, he will visit the MGM Hospital. The Chief Minister will inspect the wards and speak to the Hospital staff, superintendent and doctors there. The primary objective was to instill confidence among Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment and doctors treating them in the State-run hospitals.

This decision comes closely after his visit to the Gandhi Hospital, in Hyderabad which created quite a sensation.  There have been several cases of irregularities at the Hospital. This was the first time that he visited Gandhi Hospital after taking charge as Chief Minister of the newly formed Telangana state.

The CM who turned 67 this year and had recovered from COVID recently went around the Hospital which has been treating COVID patients since the pandemic broke out last year without wearing PPE Kit and wearing only a double mask.

He visited the Emergency, ICU and general wards and spoke to the Covid patients. This move comes across at a time when the State has witnessed a surge in cases and hospitals, doctors had health caregivers are being overburdened with caseloads. This apart, the oxygen shortage, medicines, and stall in the vaccination drive continue to plague the COVID crisis management. The visit has apparently boosted the morale of doctors, nurses and other health staff.

Political analysts see this as a strategic move by KCR  especially after he took over the Health portfolio, after the dramatic ouster of Huzurabad MLA Eatela Rajender from the Cabinet on May 2.
