2022 FIFA World Cup Last 16 Knockout Scenarios

Fifa world cup qualifiers - Sakshi Post

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is reaching the end of its group stage, with just France advancing to the round of 16. Many teams are still in danger of being eliminated, while others will go to the round of 16 if they win or draw. Let’s take a look at how each country will qualify.

Group A:

The Netherlands, Ecuador, Senegal, and Qatar are in Group A.

1. Qatar has been eliminated from the World Cup following two consecutive losses.

2. The Netherlands is almost there, and a draw or win will assure they progress.

3. The winner of the match between Senegal and Ecuador will join the Netherlands in qualifying.

Group B:

Iran, England, Wales, and the United States are in Group B.

1. England tops the table with four points and will advance to the knockout stages if they win or draw against Wales.

2. Wales' chances of entering the round of 16 are slim, and they will need to score four goals.

3. Winner of the match between the US and Iran would advance to the next round, a tie would send Iran to the round of 16.

Group C:

Argentina, Poland, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico are in this group.

1 Poland tops the standings and will progress to the last 16 if they defeat Argentina, but Argentina must overcome Poland to advance.

2. Whoever wins the match between Saudi Arabia and Mexico will advance to the knockout stages alongside either Poland or Argentina.

3. Argentina may qualify if they draw with Poland and Mexico beats Saudi Arabia, but the goal difference will determine the outcome.

Group D:

Australia, Denmark, France, and Tunisia are in Group D.

1. France has already qualified for the final 16.

2. The match between Denmark and Australia will determine qualification.

3. If Denmark and Tunisia defeat their opponents, qualification will be determined by goal difference.

Group E:

Spain, Germany, Costa Rica, and Japan will all be battling for a spot in the next round in Group E.

1. Spain is the table leader and will play Japan, while Germany will play Costa Rica.

2. If Spain wins, they will qualify, but a draw will suffice if Costa Rica does not win.

3. Germany will have a chance to advance to the World Cup 2022 knockout stage if they defeat Costa Rica and hope that Spain does not lose to Japan.

Group F:

Group F consists of Canada, Croatia, Morocco, and Belgium.

1. Canada is already out of the tournament, and Croatia, Belgium, and Morocco have a hard fight to make the cut.

2. Morocco will play Canada, and Croatia will play Belgium. A victory or a draw advances Modric and his teammates to the next round, while a victory or a draw advances Morocco to the knockout stages. A victory would help Belgium advance to the Round of 16.

Group G:

1. Brazil will face Switzerland, and whoever wins advances to the knockout stage, while a draw gives Cameroon and Serbia a significant edge.

2. Serbia drew Cameroon and has one more chance against Switzerland and Brazil, respectively. Even if Switzerland loses to Brazil, they will still have another game to look forward to, and the same is true for Brazil.

Group H:

All four countries have a chance to qualify, but Ghana's win over South Korea gives them a good opportunity. South Korea has a slim chance if they defeat Portugal on the last day and the rest of the outcomes go their way.
