Yash’s Toxic Creates History with Massive ₹105 Crore Overseas Deal

Even before hitting theaters, the highly anticipated film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, has made waves in the international market by securing a record-breaking overseas distribution deal. The worldwide rights for the Indian-language versions of the film have been acquired by Phars Films for an impressive ₹105 crore advance — one of the largest pre-release overseas business agreements for an Indian movie.

The deal covers the film’s Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam versions, but excludes the English edition. Industry insiders say this underscores the strong global demand for Indian-language cinema, driven in part by Yash’s international appeal following the massive success of his previous franchise films like KGF: Chapter 2.

Toxic has already set another milestone in its pre-release journey by becoming the first non-Telugu project to secure a ₹120 crore distribution deal in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana theatrical market through Sri Venkateswara Creations — a rare achievement for a Kannada-led film.

Distributed overseas by Phars Films, Toxic is now being positioned for one of the widest international rollouts ever planned for an Indian film. The movie is expected to release theatrically worldwide on March 19, 2026, bringing a multi-language cinematic event to audiences across key global markets.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features a strong ensemble cast alongside Yash and blends a stylised narrative with high-production scale and technical excellence.
