Oru Jaathi Jathakam OTT Release on Manorama Max on April 1
Oru Jaathi Jathakam, Vineeth Sreenivasan’s latest Malayalam comedy, is now streaming on Manorama Max starting today, April 1. Directed by M Mohanan and written by Rakesh Mantodi, the film was first released in theaters in the last week of January, following a delay due to Mohanlal’s Thudarum.
The movie, which also stars Nikhila Vimal, Kayadu Lohar, Indu Thampi, and Sayonara Philip, was initially expected to release on Prime Video. However, it is currently available exclusively in Malayalam on Manorama Max.
The film centers around Jayesh, a 37-year-old man who has strict criteria for his future life partner. Afraid that he won’t marry before turning 40, Jayesh tries various ways to find a match, but his biases continue to get in the way. When he finally meets the right person, more challenges arise, leading to his transformation.
Despite facing competition from Basil Joseph’s critically acclaimed Ponman, which is now streaming on JioHotstar, Oru Jaathi Jathakam managed to break even at the box office.
Looking ahead, Vineeth Sreenivasan is preparing for his directorial debut with an action-thriller. He will also star in Dileep’s Bha.Bha.Bha, which is expected to release during Onam 2025.
