Vijay's TVK Releases Video Claiming Kamaraj Supported the Party

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam has released a video claiming that AMMK MLA-elect Kamaraj voluntarily gave support to the party amid the ongoing political drama over government formation in Tamil Nadu.

The controversy began after T. T. V. Dhinakaran denied reports that his party had extended support to TVK. Dhinakaran alleged that the support letter shown by TVK could be “forged” and accused the party of “horse-trading.” He later met Governor Rajendra Arlekar and submitted a separate letter supporting AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami.

In response, TVK shared a video showing Kamaraj writing and signing a support letter for the party. TVK stated that the MLA had willingly extended support and had even mentioned that it was done with Dhinakaran’s approval. The party also accused Dhinakaran of spreading false information and misleading the public.

TVK further said that it does not need to “bargain or negotiate” with anyone for support and insisted that the backing from Kamaraj was genuine.

The political tension comes at a crucial time as TVK chief Vijay continues efforts to secure enough support to form the government in Tamil Nadu. TVK emerged as the single largest party with 108 seats but still needs additional support to cross the majority mark of 118 seats in the 234-member Assembly.
