Shouting in Anger, Saying Sorry Later: Common for Pawan & Nagababu

 - Sakshi Post

Nagendra Babu aka Nagababu, a film producer and elder brother of mega star Chiranjeevi, has sparked a controversy with his comments on the height of an actor to play the role of a police officer in the film.

Recently, speaking at the pre-release event of his son Varun Tej’s upcoming ‘Operation Valentine’ movie, Nagababu said it will look good on screen if an actor who is 6 feet and 3 inches in height plays the role of a police officer. He did not stop at that. He also said that the role of a police officer does not suit a man of 5 feet and 3 inches.

While Nagababu did not explicitly mention Jr NTR, however, the fans of Devera actor have said that the senior film producer has deliberately made this comparison to despise their favourite actor. Incidentally, Varun Tej is a tall actor like his father.

Jr NTR is known for his powerful performances and mass appeal. He has essayed the role of a police officer in several films. Defending their favourite actor, fans have argued that acting prowess and screen presence matter more than height.

Following the outrage from Jr NTR fans, Nagababu took to X (formerly Twitter) to tender an apology. He clarified that he did not mean to hurt anyone with his words. The senior film producer added that it was not a deliberate attempt to degrade anyone and asked for forgiveness.
