Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude Set for OTT Premiere on Netflix — Release Date, Cast, and Details Inside

After a highly successful theatrical run, Tamil filmmaker-turned-actor Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest romantic comedy Dude is all set to make its digital debut. Directed by Keerthiswaran, the film released during Diwali 2025 and went on to become one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of the year, collecting over ₹100 crore worldwide despite receiving mixed critical reviews.

‘Dude’ OTT Release Date and Platform

According to industry reports, Netflix has bagged the digital streaming rights of Dude for a whopping ₹25 crore. The film is expected to premiere on the platform on November 14, 2025.

The romantic comedy will be available to stream in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, while a Hindi-dubbed version is likely to arrive eight weeks later, following a release strategy similar to Kantara Chapter 1.

Although Netflix has yet to make an official announcement, social media buzz and multiple industry trackers confirm that the film’s OTT debut is just around the corner.

Cast and Crew

Written and directed by Keerthiswaran in his debut venture, Dude also marks Mythri Movie Makers’ second Tamil-language production.

The film features a strong ensemble cast including:

Box Office Success

Dude opened to impressive box office numbers, collecting ₹9.75 crore net on Day 1 in India — ₹6.5 crore from the Tamil version and ₹3.25 crore from the Telugu version.
The movie grossed ₹22 crore worldwide (US$2.6 million) on its opening day, marking the biggest-ever opening of Pradeep Ranganathan’s career.

Even weeks after release, Dude continued to attract crowds to theatres, cementing its status as a commercial blockbuster.

Satellite and Digital Rights

While Netflix holds the digital streaming rights, Zee Tamil and Zee Thirai have reportedly acquired the satellite television rights, ensuring the film reaches an even wider audience through multiple platforms.
