NEW DELHI: In times, when Delhiites are gasping for fresh as air quality continues to be in 'severe category', a bar in New Delhi is now offering pure oxygen to its customers. Not just that, it is not just oxygen but aromatic oxygen which comes in lemongrass, orange, cinnamon, spearmint, peppermint, eucalyptus, and lavender.

'Oxy Pure' is an oxygen bar in Saket in the national capital.

The store operator claims that it is the first of its kind in New Delhi.

"This is the first such store in Delhi. Currently, pollution levels are very high, our product helps in providing some relief. We get 10-15 customers a day. We are also offering portable oxygen cans to customers that they can carry anywhere they want," he said.

A customer said that oxygen with the aroma is really refreshing.

Delhi remained blanketed by a thick smog for the fourth consecutive day on Friday as unfavourable weather hampered dispersion of pollutants, with improvement in air quality expected only by Sunday.

The air quality index in the national capital stood at 463 at 4 pm, with Dwarka Sector 8 being the most-polluted area with an AQI of 495. Most of the air quality monitoring stations recorded an AQI above 450.

The Delhi government, meanwhile, said on Friday that a call on extending the odd-even road rationing scheme will be taken on Monday morning as air quality is expected to improve over the next two-three days.
