Prabhas Fails To Beat Mahesh Record On IMBD Courtesy Saaho

Prabhas, Mahesh - Sakshi Post

The much-awaited Prabhas film 'Saaho' hit the screens on Friday. It made all the right noises on social media before its release as it was the first film of Prabhas after 'Baahubali-The Conclusion'.

In fact, the film was made with a budget of Rs 350 Cr and shot in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. According to trade reports, the film has grossed Rs 104.8 crore and has netted around Rs 68.1 crores. It is the third Indian film to cross Rs 100 Crores on its opening day after Baahubali and 2.0.

It's a known fact that the makers of the movie have raised the ticket price of the film. It would be good if they slashed the price of the film. At least, they would gain the invested budget, if the ticket price is high audiences would prefer to watch online or wait until it comes on Amazon Prime. The tickets for the next two days have already been booked with 90 per cent occupancy.

Saaho opened to mixed reviews from all quarters. Despite negative reviews, audiences are rushing to theatres which goes to show the magic of Prabhas. Talking about 'Saaho' rating, IMDb has rated the movie 6.1 on a scale of 10 which is very least compared to other films released this year.

So far, Mahesh Babu's 'Maharshi' was declared blockbuster hit of the year. The film received 7.1 rating on same site which means that 'Saaho' failed to beat Mahesh Babu's record in terms of IMDb rating.

Saaho features Chunky Panday, Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mandira Bedi in important roles.
