Rajamouli’s Baahubali Unbeatable Despite Big Ticket Releases  

It has been more than a year, and people are still wondering as to what was so special about Prabhas's Baahubali. So far, many big-ticket movies have been released like -Thugs Of Hindostan, Race 3, 2.O, Rangasthalam, Zero, Bharat Ane Nenu among other movies. None of these movies have tried to reach or cross Baahubali’s collections. What is the secret behind Baahubali being such a benchmark, that even actors like Aamir Khan, Mahesh Babu or Shah Rukh Khan haven't been able to reach? Here are a few reasons why other actors are failing to compete with the Baahubali feat.

Baahubali series had created history. It changed the Indian format of commercial cinema. The movie proved that Indian movies also have the stamina to earn Rs 2000 Cr. It would be impossible to create history with routine scripts.

In Thugs of Hindostan Aamir Khan thought to beat Baahubali collections. They had expectations for it to cross Baahubali’s collections, but the movie failed to earn even Rs 200 Cr. There weren't any emotional scenes in Thugs of Hindostan, except for some extra VFX.Honestly, 2.O did good business in 2018. There is no exact word to express the visual effects of 2.O. Director Shankar’s hard-work was noticed by cine-buffs and critics but even this movie lacked an emotional aspect. Some of the audiences believe that Shankar who stressed out more on visual effects forgot to add the main emotional element in the story.

Rajamouli is a blessing with many talents. During the initial stages of Baahubali, Rajamouli hadn't promoted Baahubali even with single advertisement, but the movie still managed to be in the news. Rajamouli promoted the movie with his team even before it went on floors through prepping work. Rajamouli piqued interest amongst the audiences with Baahubali's climax scene questioning Why Kattappa killed Baahubali. It was a million dollar question and curiosity for the second part was at high peaks. This was one of the main reasons Baahubali’s collection crossed Rs 1800 Crs.

It would be difficult to duplicate another Baahubali in a film. It could only be recreated with the mastermind of Baahubali, Rajamouli himself. The movie has opened a path for Indian movies but it has become a hard task to follow in the footsteps of Prabhas or Baahubali.
