UV Creations Likely To Confirm 96 Telugu Remake

96 Telugu Remake - Sakshi Post

Tollywood's forgotten diva Trisha Krishnan looks all set to entertain the audience with a Tamil remake film. In recent times, the south Indian film industry has been all talk about a super hit film, director Prem Kumar’s debut romantic drama '96'. The director retained Trisha, the female lead in the film, but the Telugu remake is said to be in the early stages, largely due to cast issues.

Production company UV Creations, which in the recent times tasted success with Taxiwala, Mirchi and Run Raja Run, is planning to produce the remake. On the back of producing Prabhas's upcoming film 'Saaho,' UV Creations is keen on financing the project.

However, Prem Kumar looking out seriously for a perfect actor for the script of 96. Although actors Sharvanand, Nani and Ram are said to be considered for the famous role played by Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, the director is in talks for a senior actor for the role, it is said.

On the other side, speculation is rife in film circles that Allu Arjun might be the best-placed actor for the role of Ramachandran. Meanwhile, the combination of Allu Arjun as actor and Allu Aravind as a producer was also tested but official confirmation is yet to be made.
